Celebration & Struggle || Honoring Black History Month
As a church, our heart is to celebrate Black History month within our body and with the diverse network of churches in our region and beyond. When we look at the Scriptures, we see God's truth about race:
* It was God who created race, and spread mankind out across His earth
* It is God who redeems to salvation, calling to every nation, tribe, and tongue
* We have a burden to strive towards God's kingdom on earth - one of peace, of justice, and of righteousness
So join us this month as we share short tributes each week to the struggles and celebrations of African Americans who have strived to make our world a better place through their gifts and through their faith.
This week, elder Daniel Lumpkin lays out the purpose of Black History month, and invites you to join us in celebrating God's design for mankind.
