Elisha || The Successor
The Kingdom was never meant to become a pond. It is a river, designed to flow through us, into others, and from one generation to the next. In this message, Pastor TJ explores the relationship between Elijah and Elisha and the powerful picture it gives us of a faith that is passed on, lived fully, and surrendered completely.
Through Elisha’s decision to leave behind his former life and follow God’s call, we are challenged to consider what it truly means to take our faith seriously. His story reminds us that following Jesus is more than believing the right things. It requires a willingness to move forward, count the cost, and allow the Kingdom of God to flow through every part of our lives.
As you listen, you’ll encounter:
• A faith meant to be passed on — discovering how God works through relationships and generations, calling mature believers to invest in others while inviting the next generation to remain teachable, willing to serve, and ready to follow.
• The call to go all in — learning from Elisha’s willingness to leave his plows and oxen behind that following God requires more than partial commitment. It means trusting Him without keeping one foot in the life He has called us to leave behind.
• The cost of greater things — understanding that greater Kingdom impact requires greater surrender. God forms our character through sacrifice so that we can faithfully carry His presence and power into the world around us.
Elisha’s life challenges us to ask a deeper question: What are we willing to give so that the Kingdom can flow through us? God is not simply looking for our leftovers. He invites us to place our entire lives in His hands, trust His plan, and follow wherever He leads.
Listen now and discover what can happen when you count the cost, surrender what you have, and allow God to use your life for something greater.
